Why South Africa?

South Africa is a land of spectacular contrasts, both physically and culturally. A country where there is an amazing diversity of people and experiences to be offered.

South_africa_LeopardsVisitors are astonished by the enormous variety of wild animals to watch including the Big Seven (being the Big Five of lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard and rhino as well as the whale and great white shark from the marine world). Giraffes and antelope are among many other wild animals you can’t fail to see on your game drive. In fact, you are likely to run out of film trying to photograph all the opportunities that arise. There are over 900 species of birds to see which makes South Africa a bird-watcher’s paradise.

With nearly 3000 km of spectacular coastline, there is a tremendous range of sea life and numerous beaches and water activities to choose from. South Africa is one of the most fantastic destinations for watching marine mammals in the world, where you can see Cape fur seals and various dolphins and whales.

Local_South_Africa_guidesWith 11 official languages, there is certainly a very colourful array of traditional dress, music, art and crafts. There are still indigenous Africans living in the desert regions who have preserved their language and culture.
